La primera semana
Hola!
¡Qué raro que ya ha pasado una semana y media! La semana pasada sólo asistimos a dos días en la escuela pero fueron muy interesantes y ya he aprendido un montón.
El viernes pasado fui a una discoteca con algunos compañeros de la escuela y fue una experiencia diferente que todas otras. Llegamos a la discoteca a las 12:30 y pedimos bebidas hacia la 1:00, pero no había nadie hasta la 1:30. Y aún cuando salimos a las 2:00, todavía gente llegaba. Locos son los españoles.
El fin de semana no hicimos muchas cosas. Lo pasamos con nuestra señora Teresa, yendo de compras en el centro y comiendo helado el sábado. El domingo buscamos un bar para mirar el partido de fútbol entre Real Madrid y Real Betis (un equipo de Sevilla) pero no pudimos encontrar ninguna tele. Nos sorprendó mucho.
También fuimos a una iglesia católica con Teresa el domingo y eso fue interesante pero me confundó mucho porque fue muy diferente que las iglesias en los EEUU y había mucho estar de pie y sentarse y recitar. No sé si volveremos.

It's crazy that's it's already been a week and a half! Last week we only spent two days in school, but they were very interesting, and I've already learned so much.
Last Friday I went to a discoteca with some peeps from my school, and it was very different than any experience I've had before. We arrived at 12:30 and got drinks around 1:00, but nobody else showed up til almost 1:30. Michala and I were the first to leave (at 2am!!) and people were still arriving! The Spanish are crazy.
The past weekend we didn't do much. We hung out with our señora Teresa - we went shopping in the center of town and got ice cream on Saturday. On Sunday we looked for a bar that was showing the soccer game between Real Madrid and Real Betis (a Sevilla team) but we couldn't find a single one! It was really surprising to us because we thought it'd be really easy to watch the game with local fans.
We also went to Teresa's catholic church with her on Sunday, and it was interesting but also confused me because it was very different from churches in the US. There was lots of standing and sitting and reciting. I'm not sure if we're going to go back. Maybe.
